There's a storm coming in tonight. It was out over the ocean today so the waves were rougher than before (but still lots of fun) but now it's headed our way. No lightning or thunder yet, which is too bad because I wanted to see lightning on the waves. Bit of rain.

Of course I'm sitting in the "wind tunnel" in front of an open window and I didn't think that there was much rain at all but I just saw that it is speckling the glass across the room. Oops. Close the window a bit.

The waves are way past the previous tide mark, almost to the sea wall. The condo next to us stupidly left their beach chairs out and a couple of them have washed away.

Hope the sea turtle nests will be okay.

Sea turtles

You can barely see it in this picture (taken from the 9th floor with digital zoom 😜) but there is an area fenced off with pink ribbon just past the palms on the beach. There are more fenced areas all up and down the beach. We didn't know what they were at first, but then we saw the signs posted on them. Apparently, on Sunday night the sea turtles came up to lay eggs. Too bad we won't be here to see them hatch.

This is Bramble's little girl. She's solid black, at least for now. She'll probably look like her daddy in a few months.

Her expression is remarkably like his right here.

Picayune must think that trying to steal babies when they're born is normal (since the horses tried to take her).
